On November 30, 2007, we went to Davao. Of course, this was made possible by Cebu Pacific’s Piso promo. The roundtrip fare was only Php 2,493.04 per person. I scheduled this trip on a holiday (Bonifacio Day) with a weekend following it so Jomar wouldn’t have to apply for a leave from work.
The trip’s departure from Manila was 5:00 am and I slept late because of anticipation of waking up early. So, I only had two hours worth of sleep before leaving for the airport.

As always, I already prepared an itinerary for this trip. However, while making the itinerary, I found out that it was difficult to commute around Davao because the places of interest are so far apart. It would be a burden to carry big bags around while visiting Davao’s tourist attractions. So, I contacted Mr Roland Hepgano, a taxi driver in Davao, a week earlier to avail of his services. Fortunately, he was available. I saw his number in one of the Davao forums but the name written there is not his but the owner of the taxi. We hired Mr Roland Hepgano for two days (Friday and Sunday) for only Php3,000 or Php1,500 per day. He was our personal taxi driver around Davao City.

I recommend that when you go to Davao, call or text Mr Roland Hepgano. He’s honest and reliable. We actually left our travel bags in his taxi and felt safe about it. Here is his contact number: +639069496082.
